The studies were conducted with mineralogical/petrographic approaches and in the case of Camaino's Triptych, using a 3D digital video microscope as well. The marbles, traces of film, colors and tool marks were all studied, and the results obtained concern aspects such as the origin of the marbles, the techniques used in the execution of the works, their current state of conservation, as well as the identification of past restorations.
